The Colegio Maya Libraries exist to serve the unique needs of the Maya learning community. The Secondary and Elementary Libraries are the “heart of the school” and as such seek to be vibrant, welcoming places for students, faculty, and parents alike. Our goal is to develop life-long learners who use information effectively and are able to evaluate the quality and worth of the information they encounter on a daily basis, both in school and out.
The Colegio Maya Libraries has well-developed collections, including a large fiction collection and non-fiction collections that support the school curriculum as well as student interests. Our biography collection has been carefully developed and is of particular note. We also have a small, but very interesting, collection of books in Korean that have been donated by students’ families. The Secondary Library receives about thirty different magazines monthly, in both English and Spanish, and also receives the Prensa Libre daily.
