Well-Rounded Education

In addition to the basic curriculum, Colegio Maya has a rich variety of special offerings including art, choir, instrumental music, drama, computer literacy, adventure education, team sports, health, Model United Nations, Knowledge Bowl, and field trips.

 Students in grades 8-12 have the opportunity to participate in athletics, fine arts, and academic events with other schools in Guatemala and in other Central American countries. There is a strong commitment to community service and students at all grade levels are encouraged to become involved in hands-on service projects throughout the year. We also offer membership to both National Honors Society and National Junior Honors Society. 

A typical Colegio Maya High School student may well belong to a sports team, be an actor in a play, a musician in the orchestra, take two AP classes, and be part of the student government.  All students at Colegio Maya have the opportunity to participate in a broad range of activities.
