The first 9th Grade Community Service trip of the year was on Saturday, November 20th. We were for the Orphanage, Fundaniños, located just 1 km. outside of San José Pinula. This is an orphanage sponsored by Manolo and Vilma Benfeldt. The 37 children at this orphanage have been removed from their homes, due to abuse. Their ages range from new born babies to 14 years of age, both boys and girls. We hope to have 14 students from Colegio Maya taking advantage of this enriching experience, students giving their time and talents to a very worthy cause.
