Education: B. A. Elementary Education and M Ed. from Southeastern Louisiana University. My best education by far though, has been the years spent in the classroom. Courses offered: LRC Learning Resource Center Reason for living in Guatemala: It is HOME, for now! Time spent in Guatemala: One Year Reason for choosing Colegio Maya: Once I decided that moving to Guatemala was a fact, Colegio Maya became my goal. My intuition told me that a smooth transition to a new job ( 21 years teaching at Escuela Americana of El Salvador), could only happen in a setting like Colegio Maya. I am very happy! *After completing my first year at Maya, I can say that I continue to be excited to work in this wonderful school. Quality of Experience in Guatemala and Colegio Maya: Guatemala is a beautiful country, with many different places to visit. My goal this year is to get out and experience some of these places! Interests: I love anything that is a craft. I enjoy Reading, sewing, and I love to dance. Family: My husband Roberto, my twin daughters Andrea and Ana Cristina, and my son, Roberto José. Andrea is married and lives in Vegas. Ana is in Guatemala, working on a degree in Graphic Design, and Roberto José is an English major at SLU. Future plans: I guess I am in Guatemala to stay; so, Colegio Maya is definitely in the future. Mostly though, I wish that my children accomplish their goals, and then I will be satisfied.
