Education: M.S. in Science Education, Montana State University – Bozeman, B.A. Virginia Commonwealth University Courses offered: 7th grade Life Science, 10th grade Biology and AP Environmental Science Reason for choosing Colegio Maya: Dr. Miller Quality of Experience in Guatemala and Colegio Maya: Guatemala is the kind of place that makes me say, I need more time to explore. Although the country is not that large, I cannot imagine ever feeling that I have seen all that Guatemala has to offer. And then there is my work, the students and staff at Maya are amazing. While teaching in Brazil I discovered Maya’s reputation, but the school far exceeded my expectations. Interests: Environmental issues, whitewater kayaking, photography, ecology / neo-tropical herpetology Family: My Family lives in Virginia Future plans: Enjoy working with my students, hablar espanol, gaining a better understanding of national politics beyond what I have read and continuing to see more of the natural beauty that Guatemala has to offer.
