Education: I have a Master of Arts in Teaching from Brown University and a Master of Arts in Philosophical Theology from Andover Newton. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and in Psychology. Courses offered: Here at Colegio Maya I serve as the Middle School Humanities teacher. I teach Social Studies and Language Arts to a wonderful group of seventh graders. Reason for living in Guatemala: My wonderful spouse Ann works for an international NGO so we get to live in a new place every four or five years, currently Guatemala. Time spent in Guatemala: We have visited Guatemala before moving here but, as of the start of school, three days! Reason for choosing Colegio Maya: It is the best. Quality of Experience in Guatemala and Colegio Maya: So far Guatemala has been wonderful. The people are gracious and very welcoming. Interests: I love mountain climbing and collecting old or rare books. I am an avid reader and have a keen interest in Celtic mythology. Family: Ann and I are blessed with two wonderful children. Marina is our oldest at nine years and Aidan is a very active five year old. Future plans: For now we want to settle down here in Guatemala and really get to know the country. Afterwords, who knows, Africa or possibly Asia.
