I wanted to come to Guatemala, but would only come if I got a job at Colegio Maya. I heard it was the best and I wanted to be a part of that.

Quality of Experience in Guatemala and Colegio Maya:
Guatemala is a country of great contrasts and I try to focus on the good aspects every chance I get. My primary method of doing this is by using photography, allowing me to zoom in on one particular scene, and later, examine the qualities of it again and again at my leisure. Guatemala offers remarkable possibilities for me to grow as a photographer.
Interests:
Being an autodidact. More specific interests include, photography, travel, computing, SCUBA diving, kite making, cooking with butter & cream, designing and building stuff. Here’s a link to my personal photography website - www.matthew-s-king.com. Right now I am into building pinhole cameras out of cookie tins, matchboxes, Altoids cans, etc.
Family:
Juanita (wife), Addison Sophia Rose (daughter), and Noah Emerson Hawkins (son) are the family here in Guatemala.
Future plans:
To look back and reflect.
