Austin State University, Nacogdoches, TX Texas Teacher certification in Early Childhood Ed., Elementary Education, ESL, Bilingual Education and Art Courses offered: 2nd grade Reason for living in Guatemala: I have aways heard nice things about Guatemala and wanted the opportunity to get to know the culture and the country. Colegio Maya has made it possible. I'm so excited to be here! Time spent in Guatemala: almost 1 month Reason for choosing Colegio Maya: Colegio Maya is the one of the best schools in the world and I wanted to be able to provide my son with a top-notch education. I also wanted to be a part of a school that values academic excellence and to work for Dr. Miller. She is such a positive and dynamic person! Quality of Experience in Guatemala and Colegio Maya: It has been the best so far! The people are wonderful, the school is great and the country is beautiful! Come see for yourself. You'll love it! Interests: I love spending time with my 8 yr. old son. It's great to watch him play his team sports(soccer, basketball, baseball) I also love to travel, read, listen to music from the "70"s, and watch home decorating shows. Family: I have a son, Dylan, who is the love of my life! I also have a brother, John, a sister, Jennifer, my father,John Ford, my mother, Dee and 3 nieces, Erin, Alex & Sarah Future plans: I'd like to save enough money to build my dream home in the gorgeous hill country of Texas!
