Education: Hood College: B.A. in Early Childhood Education. University of Missouri: M.A. and Ed.Sp. in Reading Education K-12. Seattle University: Advanced ESOL Certificate. Government of South Australia, Department of Education and Children’s Services: ESL in the Mainstream Teacher Tutor. Courses offered: Pre-kindergarten Reason for living in Guatemala: I was born in Guatemala, but my family moved overseas due to my father's job with WHO. I lived overseas for 20 years in Argentina, Brazil, The United States, Japan, and Kuwait. I decided to come back to Guatemala to be with my family and to learn more about my country. Time spent in Guatemala: This is my eighth year in Guatemala. Reason for choosing Colegio Maya: I love the atmosphere at Colegio Maya. It is professional, friendly, multicultural, and open to new ideas. Colegio Maya's educational philosophy matches mine. Quality of Experience in Guatemala and Colegio Maya: Great! I enjoy the people and the culture. Interests: Exploring the world and going on adventures with my husband and children.
