Elementary ESOL for grades 1 and 2; LRC for grades 7 and 8

Reason for living in Guatemala:
To teach at Colegio Maya, but also, I’ve wanted to return here since I visited several years ago; it’s closer to home than Japan, and to drink in the culture and language (one of them) of this country.

Time spent in Guatemala:
10 days in 2001 and from July 24, 2008

Reason for choosing Colegio Maya:
Its reputation is glowing.

Quality of Experience in Guatemala and Colegio Maya:
So far, so great!

Interests:
Hiking, walking, viewing wildlife, snorkeling, swimming, reading, painting and drawing, traveling, yoga, alternative healthcare

Family:
3 lovely aged 24-and-up daughters, 3 sisters and 2 brothers, many nieces and nephews, and my dear second father, aged 91 and vigorous

Future plans:
to grow more and more whole so that I can give and receive more; on the less esoteric side, to travel and see this wonderful world, to enjoy being a grandmother, and to learn Spanish!
