Secondary Education, New School University; M.A. English, Long Island University/C.W. Post; Certification of English Language Teaching, Cambridge University; German Language Proficiency, Goethe Institute, Grafing, Germany. Courses offered: Secondary English Language Arts; 12th grade AP English Literature Reason for living in Guatemala: It's a wonderful new part of the world to explore. Time spent in Guatemala: We're beginning our fourth year. Reason for choosing Colegio Maya: Fate chose Colegio Maya for me, and I've been grateful ever since. The warmth of the school community continues to impress me with its welcoming attitude. Quality of Experience in Guatemala and Colegio Maya: The student-centered environment here at Colegio Maya makes it a wonderful place to work and grow as a teacher and person. As for Guatemala itself -- it's amazing! We love the colors of Guatemala, the warmth of her people, and beauty of her landscapes. Interests: Reading, traveling, learning Family: My husband Chris is here with me in Guatemala. Chris has two grown children and one granddaughter; I have six adult "exchange daughters" in Europe and five "exchange grandchildren." My father lives in Pennsylvania. Future plans: To continue exploring Guatemala and Central America, relearning to play guitar, writing.
