Education: * B.A. in Learning Disabilities at Del Valle University, Guatemala * Licensure in Educational Psychology at Del Valle University, Guatemala * Master in Science in Counseling at Radford University (Fulbright Scholar) Courses offered: School Counselor. Reason for living in Guatemala: My home is Guatemala where I have lived almost all my life. Time spent in Guatemala: Reason for choosing Colegio Maya: In 1996, I was offered to be the guidance counselor at Colegio Maya. At that time, I had worked at two international schools in Guatemala City and felt that at Colegio Maya I could apply what I have learned about counseling services in multicultural settings. Quality of Experience in Guatemala and Colegio Maya: Colegio Maya has been one of the most positive professional experiences I have had so far. It is a dynamic and healthy community in which students and faculty learn from each other in a spirit of academic excellence and mutual respect. Interests: Learning about new cultures, practicing Tai Chi, and listening to music are some of my passions. I also enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family. Family: My biological family is a very small and supportive one. After all these years at Colegio Maya it seems like I have found an amazing extended family! Future plans: The future brings infinite possibilities …. I hope to embrace them with an open mind! |
