Education: B.S. in Mathematics Education and Spanish, Greenville College, Greenville, IL. M.Ed.in International Teaching, Framingham State College, Framingham, MA. Courses offered: I teach 8th grade Algebra I, 9th grade Geometry, 12th grade Math Topics, and Math Explorations. I am also the High School STUCO (Student Council) advisor. Reason for living in Guatemala: In what other country can you visit lakes, volcanoes, the ocean, mountains, rain forests, ancient ruins, and colonial sites—all in one week? Oh yeah, and also because of the shucos! Time spent in Guatemala: This is my 7th year Reason for choosing Colegio Maya: A friend of a friend of the mother of my wife said I should teach here. Quality of Experience in Guatemala and Colegio Maya: Fantabulicious! Interests: Parenting, chess, cello, rock climbing, hiking, mathematics, bicycling. Family: My beautiful and intelligent wife, Kate (she is the secondary librarian at Maya), and our incredible one-year-old son Mateo, as well as Moisés the horse-dog. Future plans: I'm looking forward to getting more sleep in the future.
