Tina Tsai, Class of 2002: Tina visited Maya before going back to college after Christmas break. She reports that she loves Cornell though admits Ithaca is somewhat isolated (New York is a 5-hour drive). Doesn't matter though because "there's a lot of reading and studying and a lot to do on campus such as the Cornell movie theater." She says it's beautiful, especially the fall and the winter ("I never knew snow was so white.") When I asked if she felt well prepared for college courses, she said yes but that everyone else was well prepared too. What most amazes her is the incredible choice of courses-for example, a writing seminar is a requirement for freshmen but there were hundreds to choose from. She chose one on mystery stories. And for her PE requirement she could choose from traditional sports as well as things like skating, dancing, and meditation. She's seen Hye-Min Song and talked with Monica Chang. All love what they're doing.

Erez and Alon Cohen - Class 2001: "School is also lots of fun and can be very very challenging at times. Much harder than good old Maya."

Vanessa Wiater - Class 2002 - NYU - "Wo...it's been 2 months. The university is great, acting is tough, I never thought I'd make it this far (thanks to Mr. Menendez)... so far having a great time here.... and keeping in touch with my classmates"
Jeremy Berke - Class 2002 - Haverford (Pennsylvania) - he loves it and says "Maya is a gift…I felt very confident and able during all of the placement exams."

I am really happy here, in fact there were a few pleasant surprises. I start classes tomorrow after a week of "customs," a Haverfordian orientation. I was surprised at how badly behaved some of my classmates are, just simple things that the average Colegio Maya student would never do. I'm sure that you already know how much of a gift being at Colegio Maya is, I think that anyone who goes there gains a different perspective on the world. I also felt very confident and able during all of the placement exams, so the teachers down there have definitely done some good. So keep up the good work, Dr. Miller, and so will I.

Rishi Bond - Class 2002 - Marymount (California): “I'm absolutely loving Marymount, it was definitely the place for me.”
Diego Werren - Class 2002- Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne (Switzerland):
It's a complete change from high school, one I never expected, but it's funny, how some little things make me think, "I remember that from Maya." For example I have a class called Communications, and so much of what we're studying is what I learned in AP Psychology, and some of the French classes I'm taking feel like AP Spanish Literature all over again. To sum things up, I just wanted to tell the great faculty at Maya to keep molding the minds of the future. I consider the time I spent there as invaluable.
Carlos Valerin - Class 2006 : Hello Dr.Miller. I am at school right now. I really miss Maya, and the people there. I have fewer breaks and the teachers are not as nice or funny. Here we have something called the IGCSE course, which is supposed to be really hard. Anyway I miss Colegio Maya's schedule and facilities. I also miss the fact that here I don't get as much chance to speak English and people are not as friendly. Bye, Dr. Miller. I plan to visit Maya sometime next year. I miss you and goodbye; say hi to everyone for me.
