3. Parent
and community organizations
Colegio Maya has a Parent-Teacher
Association (PTA) that while not large, is functional and supportive. During
the school year, the PTA sponsors several activities such as welcome back
to school mixers, reading incentive program, Friendship Fair, Fun Run, parent/child
dance, author’s day, teacher appreciation, Halloween Festival, etc. In addition,
with money raised from fund-raisers, the PTA helps to support education activities
and resources.
